We are a Ugandan-owned hosting company running NVMe infrastructure from Kampala — because the fastest place to serve a Ugandan audience is Uganda, and for years nobody was doing it properly.

Local businesses, local servers, local engineers — and websites that feel instant to the people they were built for.
Our mission
Make local hosting the obvious choice, not the compromise.
For years, hosting in Uganda meant slower hardware, thinner features and worse support than hosting abroad. So businesses went abroad, and their customers paid for it in load time. We set out to remove the trade-off entirely.
What that means in practice
- The same software the big hosts use — DirectAdmin, LiteSpeed, CloudLinux, Imunify360 and JetBackup, licensed and patched by us.
- NVMe everywhere, never SATA, on host nodes we deliberately keep under-packed.
- Prices printed with renewals, so the second year holds no surprises.
- Support that fixes things, from engineers in your own timezone.
- Payment the way Uganda pays — MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, bank transfer or card.
The gap we were built to close
- A request from Kampala to Frankfurt: ~148 ms, each way, on every asset.
- The same request to our Kampala node: ~8 ms.
- On a 60-asset page that is the difference between 0.4 s and 2.6 s.
- Which Google reads as Core Web Vitals, and your customer reads as “this site is slow”.
Our story
It started as a complaint.
A client asked why their site was slow. It was well built, well optimised and hosted on a reputable platform — in Germany. Nothing was wrong with the website. The problem was five thousand kilometres of cable.
Jupita exists to remove that distance. We put the server in Kampala, peered at the national exchange, and kept everything else — the software, the security, the support standard — at the level businesses were already leaving the country to get.

2021
The question
Why does a Kampala business have to host its website in Frankfurt? We could not find a good answer, so we started looking for a better one.
2022
First rack
Jupita's first cabinet goes live in a Kampala facility, peered at the Uganda Internet Exchange Point. Latency for local visitors drops from ~240 ms to single digits.
2023
The full stack
DirectAdmin, LiteSpeed, CloudLinux, Imunify360 and JetBackup licensed in one platform, so customers get enterprise software without enterprise invoices.
2024
Resellers & servers
White-label reseller hosting launches alongside VPS and dedicated machines, giving Ugandan agencies infrastructure to build a business on.
2025
Beyond hosting
JupitaPOS and JupitaHR arrive, and the development studio starts shipping software that runs on the same Kampala infrastructure.

Speed is the product
Every decision gets measured against one question: does this make a customer's site faster for the people visiting it?
Say the number
Uptime, reply times, renewal prices and incident causes are published. A promise you cannot verify is marketing, not a promise.
Answer like a human
No tiers, no scripts. Whoever picks up your ticket has server access and the authority to use it.
Your data, your name
Domains registered to you, backups you can download, and free help leaving. A business that has to trap customers is not one.
Build local capacity
We hire and train engineers in Uganda. Every skill that stays here makes the next Ugandan company easier to start.
Sell what we can support
If a cheaper plan fits, we say so. If we cannot support something well, we do not list it.
